Errani will take on Putintseva in her second round after she destroyed Rus with 6-1 & 6-2. Putintseva won her 1st round easily against Morita with 6-2 & 6-3. At an odd of 1.10 there's no doubt about it that Errani should win this one. Still, I fancy a little surprise.
Errani's first round opponent Rus is in very very bad form. She hasn't won a match in ages, so it's no surprise at all she got smashed. Putintseva on the other hand, is playing far more solid, having some nice results and almost taking a set from the invincible Serena Williams in Madrid. If she can force Serena to a tie-break, she can definitely win a set against Errani. We all now that Errani has often trouble with concentrating for a whole game. In the end, she should win this, but I believe that Putintseva can take a set from her.
