31/05: P. Cetkovska vs R. Vinci

Today Vinci will meet Cetkovska, and I believe this could be a close game as Vinci isn't very much in form. We saw her lose last week in Brussels against Hampton and she dropped a set against Voskoboeva on wednesday. Cetkovska should be even a bigger threat to her.

31/05: Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers

Miami Heat will take on Indiana Pacers at home tonight, in the 5th game of the series. The games between these two teams tend to be very close and Indiana Pacers are playing very solid. They can make it very difficult for Miami Heat tonight, and I don't believe that this will be such an easy win for Heat as the bookies suggest. I don't think that Pacers will lose this with more than 7 points difference.

Pick: Miami Heat - Indiana Pacers (+7.5) 2 @ 1.90

30/05: Polonia Warsaw vs Piast Gliwice

In search for another tip for today I stumbled upon this match. Suddenly I remembered reading something about Polonia Warsaw recently, I looked it up and indeed: they didn't receive a license for next season and will have to relegate despite their 5th place. The team is in debts, and players don't get paid. Tonight they will play against Piast Gliwice, the 4th in the ranking, who are still fighting for a place in the Europe League.

30/05: Norrkoping vs AIK

8th placed Norrkoping will play against 10th placed AIK in this 1st division game in Sweden.
Choosing a winner in this one is very hard, but the goal market looks very appealing.
Let's take a look at both teams:

30/05: P. Ormaechea vs Y. Shvedova

Shvedova (WTA 31) will take on Ormaechea (Q) today and we could see a surprise here. Ormaechea is playing very solid lately, winning her qualifiying games in 2 sets. She dropped a set in her first round game vs Maria, but finished comfortably with a 6-0 in the 3rd set. Favourite Shvedova on the other hand didn't look so well, losing a set against Vandeweghe.

30/05: USA vs Belgium

You won't probably know this, but we at Betting Helper are from Belgium. After long years of disappointment after disappointment and not qualifying for any major tournament we can again be proud of our national team. With 16/18 in their world cup qualification group, it looks like the Red Devils will finally qualify for a world cup. Next friday they will play the important match against Serbia at home, but first they take on the USA in a friendly.

29/05: Y. Putintseva vs S. Errani

Errani will take on Putintseva in her second round after she destroyed Rus with 6-1 & 6-2. Putintseva won her 1st round easily against Morita with 6-2 & 6-3. At an odd of 1.10 there's no doubt about it that Errani should win this one. Still, I fancy a little surprise.

29/05: S. Devvarman vs R. Federer

Federer takes on Devvarman in the second round of the French Open in what should be an easy win for Federer. He won his first round match on sunday against Carreno-Busta in 3 sets, allowing only 7 games. Today he will play against an even lower ranked player.

29/05: G. Monfils vs E. Gulbis

This could be a very interesting and entertaining match. Monfils won his last match against Berdych after a thrilling 5-setter, playing some impressive tennis and serving very solid. Gulbis had a much easier game, winning 3-0 against Dutra Silva. I find it very difficult to choose a winner in this one.

28/05: Steaua Bucharest vs FC Brasov

Not much football today, but I finally found some value in one match: Steaua Bucharest vs Fc Brasov. It's the last game of the season in Romania and both teams have nothing to play for anymore. This is often an indication that there will be goals, but I will play it safe tonight. My pick is for Brasov to score at least one goal in this match.

28/05: N. Djokovic vs D. Goffin

In his first round game Djokovic will meet David Goffin. The talented young Belgian was the surprise of Roland Garros last year reaching the 1/8 final, losing against Federer after winning the first set. For today I don't believe that Djokovic will smash Goffin.

28/05: A. Kuznetsov vs L. Pouille

Kuznetsov will take on young Frenchman Pouille, who is ranked lower than him. At an odd of 1.50 he isn't considered as a huge favourite. He will probably win, but it won't be in 3 sets.

27/05: Kaiserslautern vs Hoffenheim

Third tip of the day: Kaiserslautern and Hoffenheim will meet for the second time in this promotion/relegation battle. First leg was won by Hoffenheim with 3-1 in an enjoyable open game.

Hoffenheim's defence is bad, really bad. They had the most goals allowed of all the bundesliga teams this year. So they can't rely on a defensive approach today. Almost every game they played recently went over.

It's rather obvious what Kaiserslautern will do tonight: attack. They must score goals to make up for that 3-1 loss last week. This means that Hoffenheim will probably get space to score a comforting away goal. Also, we see that Kaiserslautern concedes easily, they conceded  a goal in each of their 5 last games and even in 8 of their last 10 games.

Conclusion: I expect an open game, just like last week. But I prefer to go safe with both team to score, instead of over 2.5. Kaiserslautern must attack, and will score, but I expect Hoffenheim to bag one to.

Pick: Kaiserslauteren - Hoffenheim Both To Score @ 1.62

27/05: Fredrikstad vs HamKam

Fredrikstad will take on HamKam today in the Norwegian Adeccoligaen.

Here we have two teams that don't seem to have trouble scoring a goal. Fredrikstad have scored 14 goals in 9 games. Yet still, they only collected 10 points in 9 matches (3 wins, 1 draw, 5 losses. This is because they also concede rather easily, with 15 goals against them. At home they scored in every game so far, bagging 10 goals in these 4 home games.

Their opponents of today HamKam, are having a better season so far, with 17 points in 9 matches (5 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses). Till now they scored 16 goals in 9 games, and conceded 9. They also scored in every away match, scoring 8 goals in 4 games.

Conclusion: HamKam should be the better team, and they are certainly capable of winning this match. But if they do, they won't do it without conceding.

Pick: Fredrikstad - HamKam Both To Score @ 1.50

27/05: Tennis Triple

I must confess, at first sight I don't see many interesting bets today. That's why I decided that my (first) tip today will be a combination of 3 tennis matches:

1. S. Johnson vs A. Montanes 2 @ 1.25

Montanes (ATP 47) will take on qualifier Johnson in this match. Montanes is in an amazing form at the moment; he won a lot of his recent matches on clay against decent opponents (Mathieu, Klizan, Monfils...) and he even won the tournament in Nice last week. It's rather obvious that he should win this match.

2. R. Oprandi vs E. Svitolina 1 @ 1.30

Oprandi (WTA 36) should win this match against Svitolina (WTA 90). Why? Their ranking says enough. Oprandi is clearly the better player, furthermore she is also in a good form. In recent matches she defeated much better players then Svitolina.

3 J. Monaco vs D. Gimeno-Traver 1 @ 1.17

An easy match to make the triple combination complete. I can't see Monaco losing this one. Especially not against a Gimeno-Traver who isn't in form, of his last 8 matches, he won only 2...

These 3 matches together make a nice total odd of 1.9.
Good luck everyone!

26/05: Osasuna vs Sevilla

Second last round in the Spanish Premiera Division with a match between Osasuna and Sevilla.

Home side is in need of points, as they are only 2 points above the first relegation spot. Next round they will travel to Real Madrid, so they must collect some points tonight. They will miss some players tonight like midfielder Nano and defender Flano, but still they should be able to get at least a draw. .

Visitors are having a rather mediocre season, as they are standing only 9th at the moment. They can't compete anymore for any European spots, so they won't be very motivated tonight. Very interesting is also Sevilla's away record; this season they won only 1 (!) match away from home in 18 games. They will also miss some players like important winger Reyes.

Conclusion: We have visitors that have nothing to play for anymore, and a home side that will be strongly motivated. Sevilla won only 1 match away from home, and I don't believe they will get a second victory.

Pick: Osasuna - Sevilla 1x @ 1.40

26/05: Kashiwa Reysol vs Urawa Red Diamonds

This tip is for the match between Kashiwa and Urawa in Japan.

In this game we will see two attacking teams. Almost every match that Kashiwa plays goes over 2.5 goals. At home they scored 12 times in 6 games, but also conceded 13 goals.

Their opponents aren't doing that bad either. Their 3 last results are a 6-2 victory, a 3-1 victory and a 2-2 draw.

Also interesting are their head to head matches. Of the last 7 matches these 2 teams played against each other, 6 went over.

Conclusion: With two attacking teams, who easily concede, this game has 'over 2.5' written all over it.

Pick: Kashiwa vs Urawa +2.5 @ 1.65

26/05: M. Granollers vs F. Lopez

Well, here it is, my first tennis tip.

Marcel Granollers (ATP 33) will take on Feliciano Lopez (ATP 43) in the first round of Roland Garros.

Granollers is really a clay-court specialist, who played some decent matches over the past few weeks. This month he had a great run in Rome, where he defeated Davydenko, Murray and Chardy to finally lose against Paire.

On the other side of the net will be Lopez, a player who hasn't played many matches this year. He lost his first match in Rome against Chardy (who eventually was defeated by Granollers), and earlier this month he also got defeated in his first match in Madrid against Gimeno-Traver.

Conclusion: Granollers is the clear favourite for me; he has the form and he is the higher ranked player

Pick: Granollers vs Lopez 1 @ 1.50

25/05: Dortmund vs Bayern

Aah, finally, the big final of the Champions League between German teams Dormund and Bayern.

After losing the final against Chelsea last year, Bayern will be strongly motivated to lift the Champions League trophy tonight. Their performance this seasons is very impressive. They finished 25 points above Dortmund in the German Bundesliga, with 29 wins in 34 matches and only 1 defeat. In the Champions League their performance has been great too. In the last two rounds they defeated Barcelona and Juventus without even conceding a goal.

Then there is Dortmund. Two rounds ago they were very lucky, as they scored 2 goals in extra time against Malaga. But by defeating Real Madrid after that, they fully deserved their place in this final. Still, they will be missing a very important player as playmaker Götze is injured and will not play. Important defender Mats Hummels, who has been injured for a while, will be able to play.

Conclusion: I can't see this ending on a different result than a victory for Bayern. Their team is much stronger, and perfectly balanced. Dortmund on the other hand, will be without Götze, and although Mats Hummels will probably return in the defense, they concede rather easily.

Pick: Dortmund - Bayern 2 @ 1.80

25/05: Valerenga vs Rosenborg

So, here it is, my first tip on this blog.

Today in Norway, 11th placed Valerenga will host 2nd placed Rosenborg.

A month ago Rosenborg had a difficult time with two losses in one week, but now they're on the winning track again with 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 games. Still, last week they lost some valuable points at home against Molde (0-0), this means they really can't afford to lose points again. With one game less played, they are 8 points behind leader Stromsgodset. With 3 wins in 5 away games, their away record is pretty solid.

Hosts Valerenga on the other hand, are rather inconsistent, with 13 points in 11 games. Their home record this seasons isn't very impressive either. In 5 home games, they lost 2 and won 3. Also interesting is the fact that they will have some defensive problems today.

Conclusion: Rosenborg has the better team, and is in need of points. With Valerenga having some defensive problems today, the 3 points should go to the visitors.

Pick: Valerenga - Rosenborg 2 @ 1.90
